We foster critical thinking and understanding of human beings and their environment through the study of humanities: social sciences, history, geography, philosophy, and religion, which offer a reflective perspective on society and culture.
One of its main challenges and goals is to contribute to the construction of the personal and social identity of our students, promoting the development of their social and attitudinal skills and values, which contribute to their comprehensive formation as a person and member of the society of which they are a part.
In this way, we promote the construction of social spaces that allow them to safely express their thoughts and opinions, putting into practice values such as respect, responsibility, tolerance, solidarity and social commitment, fundamental to achieve harmonious coexistence.
Their main objective is to promote the critical understanding of the past and the geographical environment of our students. Through an integrative approach, we seek to develop their analytical skills and their ability to contextualize historical events and territorial dynamics, promoting a deep understanding of the relationship between human beings and their environment.
In this way, we encourage interest in cultural diversity and awareness of global challenges, encouraging students to form their own identity and become responsible citizens. By valuing history and geography, we cultivate respect for different cultures and the importance of a peaceful and supportive coexistence in an ever-changing world.
Philosophy and religion are critical to the development of critical, reflective, and analytical thinking, and to the creation of a vision that addresses moral and ethical issues. Thanks to its interdisciplinary nature, philosophy offers a holistic perspective that enriches various disciplines, including art, science, technology and law.
Likewise, religion invites students to explore existential questions and fundamental values that guide human behavior. Through the understanding of abstract concepts, students learn to appreciate the history and value of critical thinking. Philosophy and religion encourage debate and reflection on current issues, helping students understand social, political and economic phenomena objectively, and forming citizens capable of thinking and acting freely.
The Study Trips Project: “Following the Routes of Raimondi” offers our students the opportunity to explore the cultural and natural diversity of Peru, following in the footsteps of the illustrious Italian sage. Through this program, we seek to enrich their knowledge about the different regions of the country and foster a sense of identity towards their culture.
During the trips, students document their experiences through photographs, capturing the essence of each place visited. This initiative not only promotes hands-on learning, but also allows them to reflect on their role as citizens in a diverse world, aligning with our mission to form critical and committed individuals with their community.
