The AEAR is a non-profit association made up of approximately 60 members representing the Italian community in Peru, whose purpose is to project the Italian language, culture and traditions in Peru. It is chaired by the Board of Directors, which establishes the parameters and structure of each of the institutions it promotes.
The construction of the school at its present premises on Av. La Fontana in La Molina was started in 1996, and a year later the first group of students moved there. The Scuola Italiana Antonio Raimondi thus began a new stage at the service of education and as a symbol of the solid bonds that unite Peru and Italy.
In 2003, Antonio Raimondi Educational Association founded Dante Alighieri School, located in the historic building on Arequipa Avenue in Lima, the same one that once housed Antonio Raimondi Italian School, thus continuing the mission of promoting education and projecting Italian culture in Peru.
It is the institution in charge of promoting scientific research, educational projection and tourist development of the scientific and ethical legacy of the Italian sage. It was founded in 1981 based on the most important documentary collection of Antonio Raimondi in Peru.
Italian Language and Culture Centre was founded in 2000 as an institution dedicated to diffusing the linguistic and cultural values represented by the Italian language in Peru. Its work is aimed at teaching the language, traditions and history of Italy as a means of identity and cultural exchange with Peru.
