Italian Liceo (High School) and Baccalaureate

Proposed for students from 14 to 17 years old

Italian Baccalaureate and Opportunities for the Future

The structure of the Italian Secondary Education System is made up of 2 levels: Middle School (First Level of Secondary), which lasts 3 years, and the Liceo (Second Level of Secondary), which lasts 4 years. Upon entering the Liceo, students can choose from 3 specializations: Scientific, Linguistic, and Artistic. Each Liceo offers theoretical training in areas such as philosophy, mathematics, Latin, science and art history, as well as developing skills in languages such as Italian, English and Spanish at a level of excellence.

At the end of Liceo, students take the Second Level State Exam before an external commission, receiving the “Diploma di Maturità”, which allows them to access universities in Italy and the European Union, as well as in the United States and Canada. The completion of the Italian Baccalaureate at Antonio Raimondi Italian School also facilitates direct enrollment in the most prestigious universities in our country, highlighting its added value compared to other schools in Lima.
